Haddam Senior & Social Services: July 2023 Update

(August 14, 2023) — The following programs serviced the community during the month of July 2023. Please note the Social Services report includes totals for the Municipal Agent.

Senior and Social Services:

Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced a total of fifty-four adults and five children; the Food Bank did not service any families with gift cards to local restaurants and/or grocery stores in town during the month of July.

Haddam Emergency Fuel Bank serviced a total of two families for fuel assistance: 1 – Oil, 1- Electricity, 0- Pellets, 0- Propane 

Haddam Senior and Social Services serviced three individuals with paperwork assistance.

Haddam Social Services/Clothing Bank serviced forty individuals with clothing.

Haddam Social Services did no wellness checks during July 2023. 

Senior Van: 

The Senior Van serviced a total of three medical appointments for the month of July 2023 and an average of three seniors attended the weekly shopping trip for July 2023. 

Haddam Senior Center:

Open fourteen days for the month of July, one of which was a cooling center day. 

The Haddam Senior Center distributed eighty CRT meals for the month of July 2023 and had 194 visitors at the Senior Center. 

Sixteen seniors attended the pizza and a movie, the cooling center day, five for the movie and three as drop-ins; mobility has 6-13 participants a week and Mah Jongg has five attendees a week.
