Mid-terms are around the corner; now is a good time to talk to Republican voters in Killingworth.  Many of you have expressed how tired you are of seeing Republican candidates lose in Connecticut and Killingworth and of the “third” party disrupting local elections.   Did you know that there are MORE Republican and right-leaning unaffiliated voters in Killingworth than any other voting group?  It’s understandable that you feel your vote doesn’t matter, but it does.

In the last several elections, Killingworth Republicans haven’t shown up in large enough numbers; if we do, we can take control of our town and state back.  I understand how frustrated you feel; but we don’t “lose” by very much.  The solution is simple, VOTE.  Of the 169 cities and municipalities in Connecticut, 102 are led by Republican Mayors and First Selectmen.  Connecticut is not as blue as you think.  We need to vote.

VOTE the Republican ticket on November 8th.  Our economy is in trouble and although the federal government won’t say it, we are in a recession.  You know that gasoline prices are high and going higher; the cost of groceries is outrageous; goods and services are costing you much more than before.  You know which politicians called to de-fund the police and created a situation where 13 police officers were shot between October 10th and 14th, two of those killed right in Bristol; our borders are wide open, causing a humanitarian crisis and a drug crisis with fentanyl flooding over the border between the U.S. and Mexico, killing our kids in record numbers.

You can vote via absentee ballot until election day until 8:00 p.m.  Voting is at KES from 6:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m.  Please vote like our children’s futures depend on it because they do.

Laura Lefko, Chairman, Killingworth Republican Town Committee
