Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a motor vehicle accident at 2:30 p.m., May 28 on Saybrook Road (154). A delivery driver who was heading northbound struck a utility pole, crossed both lanes of traffic, and stopped in an embankment in front of Dunkin’ Donuts. The driver was uninjured in the accident. Firefighters closed the southbound lane during the incident and cleaned up vehicle debris and a fluid spill from the road.
