(August 17, 2023) — What’s it like to be a volunteer firefighter? Come find out! Haddam Volunteer Fire Company will be hosting our third annual Emergency Services Fair and Open House from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Saturday, August 26, 2023.
The family-friendly event is open to the public and free of charge. Activities will include touch-a-trucks with various fire apparatus, CPR demonstrations with Haddam Ambulance, vehicle extrication, forcible entry and fire attack demonstrations, “gearing up” as a firefighter, a scavenger hunt with prizes, and meet-and-greets with members of Haddam Volunteer Fire Company, Haddam Volunteer Ambulance Service, Inc., and the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary. Light refreshments will be available.
