In December 2021, the Haddam Republican Town Committee answered the call for donations for a military unit currently deployed to Africa.
Care packages are being sent to a ground surgical team, whose mission is to stabilize and prepare patients for casualty evacuation. It takes about three weeks for packages to reach the deployed unit.
Donations ranged from dried fruit and granola bars to personal hygiene items, as well as playing cards and office supplies.
