Submitted by Catherine Iino, First Selectwoman
The Charter Revision Commission will hold a hearing to receive public input on the Killingworth Town Charter on Monday, March 15, at 7 pm.
The Board of Selectmen appointed the commission last year and charged it with drafting amendments to the charter according to a process set forth by Connecticut statutes. The proposed amendments will be submitted to the town for approval at referendum.
The commission is taking a broad look at the existing charter, last amended in 2009, to see what works, what doesn’t work, and what is outdated. No proposed revisions have yet been drafted.
