Baseball 2024: HKHS Wins a Close One at Valley Regional

(April 9, 2024) — Todd Butler scattered five hits, striking out six, and Blake Kamoen got the save pitching a scoreless seventh to lead the Haddam Killingworth High School baseball team to its fourth straight win, 2-1 over Valley Regional on April 8, 2024.

Luke Mauri had a double and scored on Todd Butler’s single to tie the score in
the sixth. The Cougars pushed across the winning run in the seventh when
Matt Shea singled and eventually scored on a passed ball, a balk and an
error. Kyle Leandri and Winkley each had two hits for Valley Regional.
