The Haddam Killingworth Education Association (HKEA) is sponsoring a Meet the Candidates Night for our RSD17 Board of Education candidates. This year’s event will be on Thursday, October 21, 2021 at 6:30 p.m. and broadcast live from the Haddam-Killingworth High School Auditorium in Higganum.
Due to Covid protocols, it will be a virtual event. Only candidates and essential personnel will attend in person. It will air live that evening and can be accessed using this link: 2021 RSD17 Meet the Candidates Night.
All Haddam and Killingworth BOE candidates are planning to attend. During the event, each candidate will make brief opening remarks and answer questions posed by an impartial moderator. This year our moderator is Peter O’Neil from Killingworth. All candidates will have the opportunity to address each question.
Members of the community are encouraged to participate by submitting questions in advance that will be incorporated into the event. Community members should send questions to communications@rsd17hkea.org by Tuesday, October 19, 2021.

In addition to the live broadcast, recordings will air on the Comcast Channel 18 Valley Shore Educational Network multiple times. At this time the schedule is not available, but as the date gets closer, it will appear on Comcast Valley Shore Schedule.
