Haddam Senior and Social Services Report for March, 2024

(April 3, 2024) — Haddam Senior and Social Services has issued the following report for March 2024. Please note Social Services report includes totals for the Municipal Agent

Senior and Social Services

Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced a total of sixty-seven adults and nineteen children; in addition to food, Haddam Emergency Food Bank serviced two families with gift cards to local restaurants and/or grocery stores in town.

Haddam Emergency Food Bank provided twenty-seven families with Easter Baskets.

Haddam Emergency Fuel Bank serviced no families with fuel assistance in March.

Haddam Social Services/Clothing Bank serviced three individuals with paperwork assistance.

Haddam Social Services/Clothing Bank serviced 222 people with clothing.

Haddam Social Services did one wellness check in March.

Senior Van

The Senior Van serviced thirteen medical appointments, transported eight seniors to/from the Senior Center, and fifteen seniors in total attended the weekly shopping trip in March.

Haddam Senior Center

The Haddam Senior Center was open twelve days during the month of March.

The Haddam Senior Center distributed 116 Estuary Meals in March and had 258 attendees at the Senior Center.

Fourteen seniors attended Tax Relief Program for the Elderly

Six seniors attended the Spring Craft

Seventeen seniors attended the Club 60 program with RSD 17 Superintendent Jeff Wihbey

Eighteen seniors attended Pizza and a Movie

There were eight days where 20+ seniors attended the Senior Center:

  • 2 days had 26 seniors in attendance
  • 1 day had 29 seniors in attendance
