HaddamNow.com began in 2014 when 25 Haddam residents formed the Haddam Civic League to provide town residents with local news in a timely online fashion. In 2016, we began publishing a weekly printed version on Thursdays which became known as Haddam News.  Two years later we expanded our coverage to include Killingworth. This resulted in our online presence being changed to HK-Now.com, and we changed the name of the print edition to Haddam Killingworth News, which is sent free to every home and business in Haddam, East Haddam and Killingworth, so that we have a total distribution of over 12,000.
Our mission is very simple: we deliver news about our town as well as the surrounding region. Our print edition is intended to deliver an enhanced experience to supplement HK-Now.com, through the format of a weekly publication which will allow our readers an opportunity to follow developments in the preceding week even if they missed it online. Not all of the information on HK-Now.com will be available in the print version because of space constraints.
