(August 24, 2023) — Seniors, are your grandchildren returning to college? Are the leaves changing color just a little? That can mean only one thing: the season is changing and it’s time for Club 60 to gather. Again!
September 11, 2023 is the initial meeting. It will be held at the Community Center, 7 Candlewood Hill Road in Higganum at 1:00 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by the officers; membership dues can be paid and we can catch up with each other. (What did you do over the summer?)
On September 18, 2023, Lisa Malloy, Executive Director of Haddam Historical Society will speak on Ancient Cemeteries in town. This meeting also will be held at the Community Center, 7 Candlewood Hill Road in Higganum at 1:00 pm.
One of the aims of Club 60 is to foster greater relationships among seniors, ages sixty years or older. The Club also strives to provide a variety of social, recreational, service programs and activities to its members.
Plans for more speakers and programs are being finalized, so stay tuned. Find out more at the upcoming September meetings. Meetings are usually held at the Community Center on the first and third Mondays of the month at 1:00 p.m. unless otherwise noted. Visitors and newcomers are always welcome. Please join us.
