Goodspeed to Hold Local Adult Actor Auditions

GOODSPEED TO HOLD ADULT ACTOR AUDITIONS
FOR THE 2020 SEASON

East Haddam, Conn., October 10, 2019: Goodspeed Musicals will be holding local Connecticut Equity auditions for its 2020 Goodspeed and Terris seasons, on Sunday, November 10th starting at 10:00 a.m. in East Haddam, Conn.  Goodspeed is seeking adult male and female actors.

All auditions are by appointment only.  Appointments may be made starting immediately.  Please call Company Management at (860) 873-8664, ext. 721, Monday through Friday, 9 am – 5 p.m.

Candidates must be available for 2 to 4 weeks of rehearsal and a 2 to 12-week performance run between March 17, 2020 (first rehearsal for South Pacific) and November 22, 2020 (close of Candide).

Interested local performers should bring a resume, photo and sheet music for a 32-bar cut of an up-tempo song and a ballad.  Music must be legible and in the proper key (No lead sheets please).  An accompanist will be provided.

Under the leadership of Executive Director Michael Gennaro, Goodspeed Musicals is dedicated to the preservation, development and advancement of musical theatre and is the first theatre in the nation to receive two Tony Awards (for outstanding achievement). Goodspeed produces three musicals each season at The Goodspeed in East Haddam, Conn., and additional productions at The Terris Theatre in Chester, Conn., which was opened in 1984 for the development of new musicals. Goodspeed also maintains The Scherer Library of Musical Theatre and The Max Showalter Center for Education in Musical Theatre.
