(February 24, 2023) — Nala likes to strike a pose for the camera. This little lady is praying she gets her new forever family soon. She was an owner surrender and came to Protectors of Animals very nervous. Within a few weeks she had blossomed into a happy and peppy girl who treats her trusted handlers with smiles, kisses and a wagging tail. She is still nervous around strangers, so a potential adopter would need patience, time and love for her to gain your trust. Once she comes around and warms up, it is so worth it. This girl is a favorite among the volunteers at the shelter due to her sweet, snuggly demeanor.
Nala is a stunning two- to three-year-old pittie mix and weighs around 60 pounds.  She’s lived with dogs before, and living with one again might give her more confidence.   She is a foodie and loves to eat, as well as get plenty of treats.
Nala loves to play ball, walk, spend time with her people and is just an all-around great girl. She is in basic training now and, with continued work with her new family, she will flourish.
