(August 17, 2023) — The 2023 Energy Assistance Program starts September 1, 2023. Gross annual income for eligible households is $41,553 for Singles; $54,338 for couples. Other assets are no longer counted.
The Regional Office is at 32 Washington Street in Middletown. (860 347-4465). Applications there are immediately processed.
Mercedes Ricciuti, Killingworth Municipal Agent, also can send in applications, but it takes forty-five business days.
Fuel delivery does not start until November 1, 2023 so there is plenty of time to apply.
