(December 24, 2023)—Connecticut State Police Troop F responded to a serious motor vehicle accident on December 23 at 5:41 p.m. The collision occurred on Route 9 northbound near the offramp of exit 3 in the town of Essex.
According to the cspnews.org report, the vehicle drifted off the left side of the two lane limited access highway, entered the dirt shoulder, and collided head-on into a standing tree in the median. The driver sustained serious injuries as a result of the impact and was flown by Life Star helicopter to Yale New Haven Hospital.
