Connecticut State Election on Tuesday, November 8, 2022

Haddam’s next voting session is the “Connecticut State Election” on Tuesday, November 8, 2022.  Haddam voters will vote for Governor and Lieutenant Governor, U.S. Senator, Representative in Congress, State Senator, State Representative, Secretary of the State, Treasurer, Comptroller, Attorney General and a Referendum on “Early Voting”.

To register to vote:  The Registrars’ Office is open on Wednesdays 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. or register at Haddam Town Hall, Town Clerks office (see Town Hall hours below).  You may also request the Registrar of Voters or Town Clerk to send you a mail-in voter registration form, or visit our web-site haddam.org/registrar-voters .

The polls are open from 6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.  The three polling places are:

*District#001  Haddam Firehouse 439 Saybrook Rd (Rt 154)
Higganum, CT 06441

*District#002  Regional School District #17  Central Office 57 Little City Rd
Higganum, CT 06441

*District#003  Haddam Neck Firehouse Community Hall 50 Rock Landing Rd
Haddam Neck, CT 07624

*Curb side voting is available for “voters with a disability”

Registration Sessions and Deadlines:

November 1, 20229:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. – All day registration and in-person cut-off to register for the November 8th “State Election” – Cut off is 8:00 p.m. for in-person, online (a DMV license is required) and mail-in registration (must be postmarked by November 1, 2022 and received by November 7, 2022).

November 7, 2022 – 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. – Limited Registration Session to admit those seeking to vote in election whose qualification as to age, citizenship or residence was attained since November 1, 2022.

NOTE:  ELECTION DAY REGISTRATION

Individuals may register and vote in person on Election Day if they meet the eligibility requirements for voting in this state and are (1) not already an elector or (2) registered in one municipality but want to change their registration because they currently reside in another municipality.  By law, a person is eligible to register and vote if they are (1) a U.S. citizen, (2) age 18 or older, and (3) a bona fide resident of the municipality in which they apply for admission as an elector.

Hours:  6:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Election Day, November 8, 2022

The Registrar of Voters STRONGLY urge Haddam residents who are not registered to vote, to register as early as possible before November 8, 2022.  Also, please visit our web-site – haddam.org/registrar-voters – for election information and forms.  A copy of the ballot will also be on our web-site.
