(October 15, 2023) — The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce will feature UConn Men’s Basketball Head Coach Dan Hurley at its Member Breakfast on Monday, October 30, 2023. The event will be held at the Sheraton Hartford South Hotel in Rocky Hill from 7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. For registration information, Chamber members may send an email to: info@middlesexchamber.com.
Coach Hurley will discuss how he led the Huskies to the fifth NCAA National Championship in program history this past April, and he will preview this year’s team. Thank you to ConnectiCare for sponsoring, and to Coach Hurley for joining us during what is a very busy time for him and his staff.
This breakfast will also include the presentation of the Governor William A. O’Neill Public Service Award. This award, presented since 2002, is awarded to an individual who has performed outstanding public service for Middlesex County and the State of Connecticut.
The award is named after Governor William O’Neill, who dedicated himself to public service during his tenure as a State Representative, Lieutenant Governor and Governor. The 2023 recipient of the William O’Neill Award is former Portland First Selectwoman Susan Bransfield.
