You can alter your birthday suit at Higganum’s PERSONAL FITNESS SOLUTION center located at 415 Killingworth Road in Higganum. Kevin Carlson, the owner and trainer, has operated the business since 2014. Kevin does one on one, or semi-private (up to four people) workout sessions for clients in his attractive exercise offices. Kevin has always been an athlete since his youth. He started out in kick boxing and was a professional kick boxer for a while in the ‘90s. Most of his clients are between the ages of 35 to 60 years old and he has had some persons with him for five years. Generally, his clients wish to lose weight but others wish to get into good physical shape.
Kevin has worked full-time in personal fitness since 2005. Driving along Route 81 South, you can’t miss the clever sign boards Kevin has out by the roadside. “PICKING UP A COOKIE IS NOT CONSIDERED A SQUAT,” “GOOD THINGS COME TO THOSE WHO SWEAT,” are some of the funny phrases on his signs. I asked him where he gets his ideas for the signs. Kevin said he does Google searches, but that patrons also suggest phrases to him.
Kevin Carlson’s workout room is spacious and seems to be full of brand new looking, top rank exercise equipment. PERSONAL FITNESS is open by appointment Monday through Saturday.
