Brainerd Library’s Agricultural Day to be Held on June 3rd

Submitted by Robbie Marshall

(February 19, 2023) — The date has been set for Brainerd Memorial Library’s Annual Agricultural Day. It will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on the library grounds. We’re in still in the planning stages, but along with the really fun “Pumpernickel Puppets,” we anticipate featuring the following for children and families:

  • Animals
  • Presentations and displays
  • Plants, books, & baked goods for sale
  • Music
  • The Connecticut DEEP Nature Center Mobile Unit
  • Free Crafts [like fairy gardens]
  • Farm equipment
  • Hot dogs, hamburgers, beverages, popcorn & ice cream
  • A bounce house
  • A raffle and more!

We need sponsors to help defray the costs, and participants and volunteers to help make this event a success. You’re invited to sponsor the program or provide crafts and supplies, displays and demonstrations, plants, livestock, farm equipment.

Note:  As the library is a non-profit, we cannot offer any retail sales by vendors in the event. If you are interested, please call the library at 860-345-2204 and ask for Marissa or Robbie. Or email us at library@brainerdlibrary.org.
