(September 22, 2026) — With the forecast of a Nor’easter storm for this weekend, the Haddam Land Trust has postponed the Connecticut River Paddle event scheduled for September 26, 2026 to October 3, 2026.
Canoes and kayaks are welcome. We will leave the boat launch at Haddam Meadows State Park at 5:30 p.m. The paddle is about two miles with a break for a campfire party in the middle. This is a family outing and children are welcome, so bring along some campfire food and join us for a pleasant evening on the river. Weather permitting, we should have an easy, short paddle and a good time telling tales around the campfire.
Remember, life jackets are mandatory and must be worn. A flashlight is good, along with a whistle, if you have one.
