With regard to the Public Hearing and Special Town Meeting for a proposed Ordinance for Tax Abatement for Development of Affordable Housing, many questions regarding the Town Ordinance. What are the details of Senior Housing vs. Affordable Housing? How many units are being proposed? What will be the living configurations/number of rooms? What are the ramifications or benefits of offering a 30-year Tax Abatement from the Town of Haddam? Will the State of Connecticut come through on their part for 30 years? What if they don’t? Will this apply to other properties? Should this vote be held in a Special Town Meeting format or as a Referendum? Haddam Fire Station #1, 439 Saybrook Road, Haddam CT on Thursday, June 11, 2026 at 6:00 p.m.
