“All Things Killingworth” Picnic Announces Photo Contest

Submitted by Jessie Ford

(May 30, 2026) — The “All Things Killingworth” Town Picnic, happening this October at Deer Lake Outdoor Center, is excited to announce a new Photo Contest as part of this year’s event.

Open to all ages and experience levels, the contest encourages participants to share a favorite photo under the theme “People, Places, and Things.” Whether it’s a meaningful moment, a favorite local spot, or a creative snapshot, the goal is simple: bring something you love and share it with the community.

Participants may submit one or more entries, with a $10 registration fee per photo. Submissions must be completed online by September 25, 2026, and printed photos will be displayed at the picnic for judging.

Here’s What You Could Win:

  • Best in Show: $100, plus ribbon and featured photo on the All Things Killingworth website
  • Most Creative: $50, plus ribbon and featured photo on the website
  • Best Killingworth Image: $50, plus ribbon and featured photo on the website
  • People’s Choice Award: $25, plus ribbon and featured photo on the website

Judging will be led by professional photographers, and picnic attendees will have the chance to vote for their favorite image as part of the People’s Choice Award.

The Photo Contest is one of many activities planned for this year’s picnic, which brings together local families, businesses, and nonprofits for a day of food, music, and community connection, all while supporting local causes. The ATK Town Picnic will be held on October 3, 2026 from 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Deer Lake Outdoor Center in Killingworth. For full contest details and registration information, visit AllThingsKillingworth.com.
