Ballet Theatre Company Hosts “One Night in Paris” February 10th

Submitted by Phil Devlin

(January 19, 2024) — Ballet Theatre Company of West Hartford will present “One Night in Paris” on February 10, 2024 at West Hartford Town Hall, 50 South Main Street, from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.

The event will feature French hors d’oeuvres served from local restaurants Cafe Louise and Le Mazet, a decadent charcuterie display by Distinctive Ideas, and delicious desserts from Weha’s Nothing Bundt Cakes.

BTC’s professional artists and Junior Corps de Ballet will present Artistic Director Stephanie Dattellas’s American in Paris Suite. Featuring the beautiful sounds of George Gerswhin, Dattellas pays homage to Gene Kelly and Leslie Caron’s performance in the 1951 film.

After the performance, join Javier and Janixia Reyes Johnson from Hartford Underground for a short swing dance lesson to Danny Brilliant and Django Reinhardt!

Finally, DJ-Q Boogie, an award-winning events DJ and founder of Female DJ Association, will be there to keep you on the dance floor all night long.

In addition, the event will offer a cash bar that includes wine from BTC’s Season Sponsor Brignole Vineyards and Champagne Alfred Gratien & Gratien & Meyer Cremant de Loire. There will also be a signature French cocktail on the menu.

For further information, visit www.dancebtc.org.

All proceeds from the event support Ballet Theatre Company’s community performance, The Sensory-Friendly Ballet, which provides a safe, judgment-free, relaxed environment for those who have a disability, sensory, or any other types of challenge/sensitivity that may make them feel uncomfortable at a “typical” performance.
