My name is Cinzia Lettieri, and I’m running for State Representative because this community is home. I grew up in Clinton, graduated from The Morgan School, and after nearly two decades away, came back to raise my daughter here with my husband.
I’m the daughter of an immigrant and grew up in a blue-collar family where hard work, education, and giving back mattered. Those values have shaped my career and the way I serve my community. For more than 15 years, I’ve worked in education, public policy, and advocacy, and today, I’m proud to be a public-school teacher.
Two years ago, I ran for State Representative for the first time. I knocked on thousands of doors across Clinton, Killingworth, and Westbrook, and although the election came down to just 150 votes, what stayed with me most were the people I met and the stories they shared.
And I didn’t stop showing up after Election Day.
I continued serving locally on Clinton’s Planning & Zoning and Water Pollution Control Commissions, while also serving our state on the Connecticut Council on Environmental Quality.
I’m running again because the conversations I started at your doors never really ended. I still hear from families struggling with rising costs, seniors worried about staying in their homes, small businesses needing stronger infrastructure, and parents thinking about what opportunities will be available for their children.
My priorities come from those conversations: lowering costs, strengthening our public schools, creating pathways to good careers through college, trades and manufacturing, investing in infrastructure and clean energy, expanding housing options, and supporting small businesses.
For me, representing this district means showing up, listening, and doing the work. I’m ready to bring the voices and stories of Clinton, Killingworth, and Westbrook with me to Hartford and work every day for the district I’m proud to call home.
