(August 13, 2026) — Families are invited to join Higganum United Methodist Church for a special back-to-school outreach event offering free backpacks and school supplies to students (Kindergarten through 8th grade) on Sunday, August 23, 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., immediately following the church’s 9:00 a.m. worship service. Families are welcome to enjoy refreshments and fellowship while receiving school supplies for the upcoming school year.
“Get Ready for the New School Year!” is the theme of the outreach, which is designed to help area families prepare for the start of school while building community connections. Free backpacks and school supplies will be available while supplies last. Families are encouraged to attend early to ensure they have an opportunity to receive the items they need. The church invites families to worship together and then stay for refreshments, fellowship and this community outreach.
