HGC Awards $1000 Scholarship to Amelia Riggs

(June 23, 2026) — At Haddam Killingworth High School’s Senior Night on June 8, 2026, the Haddam Garden Club was proud to award its $1000 scholarship to graduating HKHS Senior Amelia Riggs.  Not only is Amelia an exemplary student, but she has been a leader in her club and athletic pursuits as well.

She has volunteered with many community projects and groups, including the Haddam Sustainability Committee, Brainerd Memorial Library, Girls on the Run and Haddam Killingworth Youth and Family Services.

Amelia is passionate about the environment and will pursue her education this Fall at Tufts University. with a goal to advance renewable/sustainable energy through engineering. HGC is delighted to support her in her journey.
