Submitted by Alli Behnke, HKYFS

(April 27, 2026) — Haddam-Killingworth Youth and Family Services is thrilled to announce our line-up of family and community events this Summer!  We believe that resiliency and well-being are directly linked to community connection, and a network of friends and neighbors who continue to grow and support each other throughout the year.   These opportunities to celebrate Summer and spend time in community are open to all.  Please visit www.hkyfs.org to learn more about these events, Summer programs for our youth/families, and to sign up.

Kids Run AMuck:

HKYFS is thrilled to share that Run a Muck is back!   This half-mile or one-mile obstacle/mud run is an exciting opportunity for your children to get outside, challenge themselves, get dirty, and have a ton of fun!    Finisher medals for all participants, post race treats donated by KWO and The Bread Girl,  photos on the course, and more!    Please register your child(ren) on our website. $15 per child for early registration, and then cost will go up to $20 the week before and day of the event.  A giant thank-you to the Blaschke Family for sponsoring Run-A-Muck, and to all the volunteers helping us to keep this tradition alive in our special community
