My name is Steve Reeps, and I’m running for a seat on the Killingworth Board of Finance. My family and I moved to Killingworth in 2020, quickly appreciating the town’s natural beauty, welcoming neighbors, and strong community spirit. We feel grateful every day to call this town our home, and I’m motivated by a genuine desire to give back to a community that has warmly welcomed us. Professionally, I bring over two decades of experience in strategic planning, budgeting, and business process improvement across complex manufacturing and technology organizations. Throughout my career, I’ve helped businesses make smart financial decisions, carefully balancing growth and innovation with disciplined spending. I understand the importance of clear communication, thoughtful planning, and making sure every dollar is spent wisely. My goal is to bring these same principles of fiscal responsibility and accountability to the Board of Finance. On a personal level, I believe deeply in listening carefully and working collaboratively. My leadership style has always been grounded in common sense, respect for diverse opinions, and a sincere appreciation for community input. I look forward to serving as a thoughtful advocate for responsible budgeting, ensuring our tax dollars enhance the quality of life here in Killingworth—not just for today, but for future generations as well.
