As a candidate for the Haddam Board of Finance, as an alternate member, Bill cares about Haddam and can offer experience and enthusiasm to the position. Bill was born in Albany NY and lived in Scarsdale, NY and New Orleans, LA as a child. He holds a B.S in Business Administration from Boston University.
Working in non-profit financial management for his entire career, he retired in 2017 and moved to Higganum. Bill previously served in senior roles as Group Vice President for Partner Relations and then CFO for United Way in New York, NY. He also was CFO for United Way in Bridgeport, CT. and for a direct service agency in the Lower Hudson Valley in New York. These jobs entailed managing the expenditure of scarce resources, and ensuring compliance with accounting and reporting regulations for grants and contracts.
Being involved in volunteer work, he served as treasurer of his church, and treasurer of his summer home association. He also served on the church vestry. Bill also offers to drive for the food pantry in Haddam.
Bill has lived in Higganum for seven years with his wife Susan. Their oldest daughter, her husband and their grandchildren are close by in Durham.
