Haddam Annual Town Meeting to be Held January 20th

(January 10, 2026) — The electors and citizens qualified to vote at Town Meetings are hereby notified that the Annual Town Meeting will be held at the Firehouse Community Hall located at 439 Saybrook Road in Haddam on Tuesday, January 20, 2026 at 6:30 p.m. for the following purposes:

  • To choose a Moderator to preside over such meeting and to consider and act upon the following:
  • To consider and accept the Annual Town Report for the fiscal year July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025 and;
  • To consider and accept pursuant to Charter Section 3.9 the conveyance and acquisition by the Town of Haddam of Newberry Street and Copley Road as Town Roads; and
  • To consider and approve An Ordinance Authorizing the sale of 9 Silver Spring Drive and 25 Silver Spring Drive, to Accent Properties, LLC for $100,000, which proposed ordinance is on file with the Town Clerk’s office; and
  • To consider and vote on the Resolution to approve the acceptance of a grant from Connecticut Department of Economic and Community Development under the Municipal Brownfield Grant Program for $119,153 for the Former Cutaway Harrow Assessment Project and;
  • To consider and vote on the Fiscal Year 2024-2025 transfer from General Fund to CNR/ Unallocated in the amount of $1,000,000 and;
  • To consider and vote on the transfer of ARPA/Tylerville Business Interruption Program in the amount of $98,322, the ARPA/Hybrid Meeting Technology Program in the amount of $28,374 and CNR/Unallocated in the amount of $373,304 for a total of $500,000 to fund the completion of the Scovil Hoe Remediation project and;
  • To do any and all things legal and necessary to accomplish the above-named purposes and take any other action that may legally and properly come before the meeting.
