By Olivia Drake, HVFC Public Information Officer

(September 26, 2025) — At 12:40 a.m. on September 25, 2025, Haddam Volunteer Fire Company responded to a single car motor vehicle accident with a rollover on Route 9 South between Exits 13 and 10 in Haddam.
Prior to crews arriving, the driver had self-extricated through the passenger side window.
The 28 year old driver, who was not identified, was taken to Hartford Hospital by the Haddam Volunteer Ambulance Service. The Middletown Press reports that the woman, who is from Colchester, was cited for traveling too fast for conditions and for failure to maintain lane.
On September 24, 2025, the HVFC responded to a motor vehicle accident on Little City Road. A driver had crossed into the shoulder and struck a utility pole. The driver was evaluated at the scene and refused additional medical treatment.
