(September 24, 2025) — The Connecticut River Valley Antiques Show and Historic Preservation Fair returns for a second year under the stewardship of the Haddam Historical Society and Goosefare Antiques and Promotions. The Show is in a new location, but features the same quality dealers and superb merchandise, as well as experts in the historic house preservation field.

The Show is scheduled for Saturday, October 11, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., and Sunday, October 12, 2025 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. It will be held at Haddam–Killingworth Intermediate/Middle School, 451 Route 81 in Killingworth, a larger facility with a streamlined floor plan and large open space. In addition to featuring thirty well-respected and quality antiques dealers, the Show also will include programming aimed at the owners of antique houses, with exhibits and informative presentations on how to restore, preserve and curate older homes. Admission is ten dollars.

Goosefare Antiques and Promotions, a high-end antiques dealer that operates more than a dozen high quality shows in the Northeast, will manage the show. John and Elizabeth DeSimone, owners of Goosefare, are pleased to be working once again with the Haddam Historical Society to build on the success of last year’s Show, which earned high marks from attendees and dealers alike.
Goosefare is based in Saco, Maine, and has been promoting high quality antique shows throughout New England for forty years. During that span Goosefare has developed and earned a prominent reputation within the antiques community. They presently manage shows in Maine, New Hampshire, Massachusetts and Connecticut, and they exhibit at quality antiques shows throughout the Eastern seaboard, carrying fine 18th and 19th century furniture and accessories.
The mission of the Haddam Historical Society is to preserve the history and heritage of Haddam for present and future generations. Show proceeds will support Society museums – The Thankful Arnold House and the Haddam Shad Museum – and educational initiatives.
