(June 23, 2025) — The Haddam Garden Club is proud to award its 2025 scholarship to graduating HKHS senior, Amelia Peterson. Amelia learned about growing and eating fresh food in her family’s garden, which led to an interest in wild food and foraging.
That, paired with a love of animals and biology, has her pursuing an education in Environmental Sciences. Four years of varsity wrestling and First Chair oboist with the Shoreline Symphony Orchestra round out her accomplishments.
She will continue her education at Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. HGC is happy to support this deserving young woman.
