HHS Hosts “Croquet and Chardonnay” June 28th

(June 14, 2025) — The Haddam Historical Society will host its Seventh Annual Croquet and Chardonnay Tournament Fundraiser at the beautiful and historic “Nestledown,” at 268 Walkley Hill Road in Haddam. The event will feature multiple courts, including the famous Heartbreak Hill.

Heavy appetizers, wine, beer, and lemonade are included and there will be a Hat Contest for both men and women. The grand champion will win the coveted golden mallet. Croquet whites are optional, but encouraged.

There also will be a silent auction of items, including a Cruise from South Street Seaport and two Hilton nights in New York City; A Progressive Dinner hosted by local chefs; High Tea at the Thankful Arnold House Museum; a Martini Basket; a Gift Certificate to Wonder Paws; Two Bottles of Lewelling Ranch (St. Helena, California) 2019 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon.

Join us for an afternoon of fun, food and fierce competition. $45 per person for HHS members, and $55 for non-members. The rain date is Sunday, June 29, 2025. Visit our website https://www.haddamhistory.org
