RETREAT DAY/EXPERIENCES IN PRAYER: January 27, 2024, 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

How to open our hearts and minds to a growing personal relationship with God. Retreat Presenter: Sr. Lany Jo Smith, ASCJ. Donation asked: $35, includes a Continental Breakfast and Full Lunch.

This retreat is open to all men and women of faith. Because Christianity holds the mystery of the Incarnation of total importance, it is a faith based on a personal and communal relationship with The Father, The Son, Jesus Christ, and God’s Holy Spirit.  During this day of retreat we will explore some of the ways we can recognize and hear God’s voice speaking to us through God’s WORD in Scripture; The WORD made Flesh in the person of Jesus and from God’s Holy Spirit living within us and through the Sacraments of The Church, The Body of Christ.

RETREAT DAY/EUCHARISTIC REVIVAL: February 3, 2024 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Realizing Jesus’s Presence through the Eucharist on our “life road” with Him. Retreat Presenter: Sr. Lany Jo Smith, ASCJ. Donation asked: $35, includes a Continental Breakfast and Full Lunch. Reservations are necessary. Call Sr. Lany Jo 203-606-9102 or email ljsmith@ascjus.org or info@sacredheartonthelake.org or visit  www.sacredheartonthelake.org

This retreat is open to all men and women of faith. The Eucharist is the very sacrifice of the Body and Blood of the Lord Jesus which He instituted to perpetuate the sacrifice of the cross throughout the ages until His return in glory.  Thus, He entrusted to His Church this memorial of His Death and Resurrection.  The Eucharist has always been one of the most important aspects of Christianity. The Catechism of the Catholic Church strongly asserts the “Real Presence” of Jesus’s body in the Eucharist; this is to say that the sacrament is not symbolic of the body and blood of Jesus, but rather that it is his body and blood.
