Members of the Haddam Volunteer Fire Company Auxiliary are pleased to announce that Sierra Statkiewicz was recently awarded the Auxiliary’s $500 scholarship. Sierra graduated from Haddam-Killingworth High School in June and will attend the Simmons School of Nursing in Massachusetts this fall. She is a member of the Junior Fire Department and the daughter of John Statkiewicz of Higganum.
A check was also presented to Nicholas Ouellette of Higganum to be used towards his education. Nick graduated from Haddam-Killingworth High School in June and plans to attend the Roger Williams University in Rhode Island to study Engineering. He is the son of Michele Ouellette, an Auxiliary member, and the late Steven Ouellette, who was an active HVFC member.
