(September 4, 2023) — The Connecticut Department of Transportation advises the following construction activities for the upcoming week:
There is no 63-hour closure this week due to the Labor Day Holiday weekend.
There will be overnight bridge closures on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 and Wednesday September 6, 2023 on a revised schedule as follows:
- Tuesday night 9/5 into Wednesday morning 9/6 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Wednesday night 9/6 into Thursday morning 9/7 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. Â
- Single lane closures on Route 82 will occur Tuesday 9/5/23 through Thursday 9/7/23 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. within the project limits; traffic flaggers will coordinate the alternating traffic sequence. All lanes will be reopened and operational during peak traffic hours.

- The schedule for bridge openings for tall marine vessels is as follows:
- Monday through Thursday at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 4:00 p.m..
- Friday through Sunday at 10:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., 4:00 p.m., and 6:00 p.m.
These scheduled openings will be in place until further notice.
