(November 26, 2023) — The Connecticut Department of Transportation has issued the following traffic advisory for road closures at the Haddam/East Haddam Swing Bridge for the week of November 26, 2023:
The bridge will be closed as follows:
- Monday night (11/27) into Tuesday morning (11/28) – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Tuesday night (11/28) into Wednesday morning (11/29) – 7:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Wednesday night (11/29) into Thursday morning (11/30) – 11:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
- Thursday night (11/30) into Friday morning (12/1) – 9:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
As a reminder, the last day the bridge will open for boat traffic is Thursday, November 30, 2023 with openings scheduled to resume on Monday, April 1, 2024.
Beginning Friday, December 1, 2023 through Sunday, March 31, 2024, the bridge will operate under signalized one-way traffic 24/7. Please be prepared for delays during this four- month period.
