Spectrum Gallery Summer Arts Festival Cancels June 17th, Will Open June 18th

Submitted by Spectrum Gallery

(June 16, 2023) — It is with a heavy heart that we will be cancelling the Saturday-only portion of the Summer Arts Festival in Essex due to inclement weather predicted for the entire day.

On Sunday, June 18, 2023, we will be starting at 10:00 a.m. instead of 11:00 a.m. We apologize; this last-minute decision was not an easy one to make.

Let’s make it a great day on Sunday!!

This will be the Spectrum Art Gallery’s Sixth Annual Summer Arts Festival fundraiser event. The free festival presents award-winning artists and fine artisans from Connecticut and the tri-state area. Located on the Essex Town Green, the Festival includes representational and abstract painters working in oil, acrylic and watercolor, as well as photographers, paper and glass artisans and jewelry designers.

Artisans exhibiting are those working with mixed media collage, wood, glass, fabric, silver and more. 20% of all purchases at the festival helps the nonprofit Arts Center Killingworth and its Spectrum Gallery continue to develop educational programs and enriching events for our community.

Date/Time: Sunday June 18, 2023, 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Location: Essex Town Green, 12 Main Street, Essex
