(November 20, 2023) — The Sixth Annual Higganum Holiday Market is up and running inside the former Haddam Elementary School from now until December 17, 2023.
The market features artisans, food and entertainment, and is open on Thursdays and Fridays from 3:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., and on Saturdays and Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This week, on the Friday after Thanksgiving, November 24, 2023, the market will feature extended hours, from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The Higganum Holiday Market was founded seven years ago by Janet Verney of Higganum. It is now managed by Kristen Melnik, who took it to a 501(c)(3) and introduced a point-of-sale system.
The former Haddam Elementary School is located at 272 Saybrook Road, Route 154 in Higganum.
