(March 10, 2023) — The Connecticut Department of Transportation will make temporary adjustments to weekday and weekend train schedules on Shore Line East (SLE) that will be in effect until April 2, 2023. These adjustments are necessary as work continues on the Penn Station Access project and a switch replacement project in Old Saybrook, with the eventual goal of expanding Metro-North train service to connect to the west side of Manhattan and into Penn Station. The most significant changes for schedules are as follows:
Weekday:- SLE 1659 departing New London at 10:00 a.m. will depart 22 minutes later
- SLE 1606 departing New Haven at 8:43 a.m. will depart 28 minutes later
- SLE 1610 departing New Haven at 10:45 a.m. will depart 26 minutes later
Weekend:
- SLE 3645 departing New London at 2:19 p.m. will depart 26 minutes later
- SLE 3610 departing New Haven at 11:08 a.m. will depart 39 minutes later
- SLE 3618 departing New Haven at 1:36 p.m. will depart 61 minutes later
- SLE 3638 departing New Haven at 5:50 p.m. will depart 20 minutes later
