Regional School District #17 has appointed Dr. JeanAnn Paddyfote as Interim Superintendent, effective July 1, 2021. RSD17 Board Chairman, Suzanne Sack says, “after careful consideration and due diligence, we have selected Dr. Paddyfote because she can effectively lead the District through these challenging times and will be a good fit for our District.”
Dr. Paddyfote has a proven record of success as a Superintendent for more than 13 years and post retirement as Interim Superintendent in several school districts. RSD17 will be her fourth assignment as an Interim for a district in transition to a new Superintendent.
Sack says that “she has built an excellent reputation as a strong leader and manager with an exceptional work ethic and as a tenacious problem solver. In addition, she has paved the way for seamless transitions for new superintendents.”
Dr. Pattyfote began her educational career in 1973 as a fifth grade teacher and has served in various roles including special education teacher, District-Wide Department Chair for Special Education, Director of Pupil Personnel and Special Services, Assistant Superintendent for Student Services, Interim Superintendent and Superintendent. Dr. Pattyfote will work out of the RSD17 Central Office located at 57 Little City Road, Higganum, Connecticut.

outstanding Superintendent of Schools for RSD17,” says Sack. RSD17 has engaged search
firm JE Consulting of Litchfield, Connecticut to conduct the search for the new Superintendent.
