Rockfall Foundation Offers $1000 Scholarship

(January 4, 2024) — The Virginia R. Rollefson Environmental Leadership Scholarship, administered by The Rockfall Foundation since 2018, honors the outstanding contributions of a high school senior residing in the Lower Connecticut River Valley. This scholarship recognizes those who have undertaken significant programs, projects, or activities fostering preservation, conservation, restoration, or environmental education. A $1,000 scholarship is granted annually to a student who exhibits exemplary leadership and initiative in these areas.

To be eligible, candidates must be residents of Chester, Clinton, Cromwell, Deep River, Durham, East Haddam, East Hampton, Essex, Haddam, Killingworth, Lyme, Middlefield, Middletown, Old Lyme, Old Saybrook, Portland, or Westbrook. The awarded scholarship funds must be used for qualified tuition, books, room and board, or supplies.
