New Year’s Day 2020 Hike at Haddam Meadows State Park

Submitted by Gail Reynolds.

Gail Reynolds, UConn Extension Educator, Chair of the Haddam Conservation Commission, and Officer of the Haddam Land Trust, will be leading a First Day Hike at Haddam Meadows State Park on Route 154 in Haddam from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m.

Please meet at the park entrance, wear warm clothes, and sturdy shoes, and bring water. The terrain is flat and we should walk an easy 2 miles. If there is snow cover on the ground, snow shoes and cross country skis are welcome.

Children under 16 years of age must be accompanied by an adult. Dogs must be well-behaved and leashed. Owners must clean up after their dogs.

This tends to be a large group so no official program will be held although natural features will be highlighted during the walk.

Stormy weather or excessive cold will cancel the hike. For further information contact Gail Reynolds at gail.reynolds@uconn.edu.
