(August 14, 2023) — The Middlesex Hospital Vocal Chords, under the direction of Samuel Tucker and accompanied by an eight-piece band directed by Alan Dougherty, is looking to expand their tenor and bass sections. No auditions, no experience necessary, just a love of singing and a willingness to make a commitment to the Vocal Chords family.
Rehearsals begin August 29, 2023 from 6:45 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., at Msgr. Fox Parish Hall, St. Francis Church, 10 Elm Street in Middletown for our upcoming winter concert on December 10, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Portland High School. New members will be accepted through September 19, 2023.
This community-oriented group has been entertaining audiences for thirty-three years with lively concerts showcasing a variety of musical interests, including the top hits of yesterday, today and tomorrow, plus some classical and patriotic pieces. Currently, our eighty-five members hail from all parts of Connecticut and all different walks of life. It’s the love of singing that brings us all together. You do not need to be affiliated with Middlesex Health in order to join.
