Middlesex Health Opens Second Covid-19 Vaccine Clinic

By Amanda Falcone.

WESTBROOK (April 7, 2021) Middlesex Health opened a second COVID-19 vaccine clinic. The new clinic is located on the second floor of the Middlesex Health Shoreline Medical Center, 250 Flat Rock Place in Westbrook.

“We care deeply about the communities we serve,” says Middlesex President and CEO Vincent G. Capece, Jr. “Because we are now being allocated more doses of the COVID-19 vaccines from the state and federal governments, we are able to open up this second vaccine clinic. This will help Connecticut residents get vaccinated more quickly, and I am proud that we are able to help in this way.”

Middlesex is currently offering COVID-19 vaccines to those 16 and older in accordance with State of Connecticut guidelines.

Middlesex Health’s Westbrook vaccine clinic will mirror the health system’s vaccine clinic at 117 Main Street Extension in Middletown. Both clinics are open Tuesday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

You must make an appointment to get your vaccine at either location and can do so through MyChart, the health system’s patient portal, or by calling the Middlesex Health Vaccine Scheduling Center at 860-358-7050 during normal business hours.

The scheduling center is open as long as there are available appointments. If all appointments have been filled, the scheduling center will close until more appointments become available.

For more information about the COVID-19 vaccines, your eligibility, how to schedule a vaccine appointment, the process of getting a vaccine and the answers to many other frequently asked questions, visit MiddlesexHealth.org/Vaccine.

As a reminder, individuals who are 16 or 17 may now receive the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine. They, however, must be accompanied by a parent, guardian or health care proxy when they arrive for their vaccine appointment. They must also show a government-issued proof of age. This can include a driver’s license, birth certificate or passport.
