Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce’s Real Estate Council Food Drive

(Middletown, CT.) Chairwoman Maureen Westbrook of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce announced the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce’s Real Estate Council will host a Food Drive to help support those effected by the pandemic.

The Food Drive will be held at the ShopRite of Cromwell, 47 Shunpike Rd. Cromwell, CT 06416 on Saturday, October 23, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

All donated food will go towards those affected by the COVID-19 pandemic and will be facilitated by The Amazing Grace Food Pantry and St. Vincent DePaul.

The Amazing Grace Food Pantry needs pasta, pasta sauce, baked beans, peanut butter, canned tuna, boxed cereal, and mac’n-cheese. If you have any other non-perishable canned or boxed foods, they are also welcome!

The St. Vincent DePaul Soup Kitchen is also in need of soap, deodorant, shampoo, body wash, sliced bread, lunch meats, canned tuna, and cheese. They will also except protein and granola bars, individual beverages, juice boxes, bottled water, individual yogurts, cheese sticks, fruit cups, and bagged individual serving snacks like pretzels and chips.

Co-Chairwoman of the Real Estate Council Juliet Cavanaugh noted, “We are so excited to join together with members of our council from all over the area to once again collect much needed food items and supplies for the Amazing Grace Food Pantry and St. Vincent DePaul. The support we’ve received from the community has really humbled us and we look forward to another incredible drive!”

Co-Chairwoman of the Real Estate Council Nancy Currlin noted, “We always have so much fun at this even and everyone is so generous.”
