(Middletown, CT.) Chairwoman, Maureen Westbrook of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce announced that the Middlesex Chamber will be hosting a free virtual addiction webinar series, “Facing the Holidays II.”
The addiction webinar series will be held virtually on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m.
This virtual webinar on addiction will be presented by the Chamber’s Recovery Employment Program (REP), Middlesex County Substance Abuse Action Council (MCSAAC) and the Connecticut Department of Mental Health & Addiction Services (DMHAS).
Join our presenters for a discussion on the effects people in recovery face during the holidays. Topics such as depression, alcohol consumption, family dynamics, coping through the day, and the effects people face when they’re first released from prison will be discussed. This information will ultimately help those that struggle with addiction have a drug-free or alcohol-free holiday.
