Middlesex Chamber and CRT Partner on Middlesex Youth Career Development Services Program

(January 6, 2021 – Middletown, CT.) Chairman Tom Byrne of the Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce announced that the chamber is once again partnering with the Community Renewal Team (CRT) on the Middlesex Youth Career Development Services Program (MYCDS).

MYCDS is designed to empower out of school youth ages 18-24 by providing them with on the job training, paid internships, or certificate programs at Middlesex Community College.  Clients work with the program coordinator to set specific employment and/or education goals while in the program.

The program focuses on medical billing and coding, phlebotomy, pharmacy technician, personal training, security guard, PCT and certified nursing aid program. This training, when completed, leads to recognized credentials that are aligned with in demand industry sectors or occupations in the greater Middlesex County area.

The Middlesex County Chamber of Commerce assists participants with employment readiness and information on potential employment opportunities in the region.
