According to multiple news outlets (FOX61 and WTNH), a body was found in Higganum on Saturday, January 25, 2020. A call came into State Police about a person who hadn’t come home from a walk the day before. The police, assisted by a K-9, found the body of a 36-year old male in a wooded area off Killingworth Road/Route 81. The death was not suspicious and resulted from an apparent accident (fall down an embankment) according to a trooper from Troop F. An autopsy will be conducted.
According to the Middletown Press, the man has been identified as Robert Gardner.
